Hey you, I Know You

Lucas and Ethan have been interacting quite a bit recently, which is one of the true joys about having twins. They absolutely crack each other up. Lucas laughs at Ethan at the strangest times. Ethan totally kills with the swatting at the blinds and screaming bit. Comic genius. They also love to chase one another. Ethan waits patiently until Lucas is in view and then screams and tries to run the other direction. Lucas laughs and moves as fast as his little Frankenstein walk will take him, leaving Ethan time to enjoy a cappuccino and the New York Times before being "caught."

But one of the best interactions is the kissing. Sometimes it will begin with a subtle"lean in" by one, and they will sweetly kiss on the lips. Other times one will be swept up in a moment, grabbing the other and planting a sloppy one on his cheek, head or arm. It is SO cute.

Today, however, was the highlight of their interactions so far. We were in the garage getting packed up for a walk and Lucas dropped his "shirt" (a security blanket made from one of my t-shirts). He walked over to me and as I was strapping him into his seat, I saw Ethan spot the shirt, pick it up, walk over to us, and hand it to Lucas. They are not too big on sharing, so this was definitely Ethan recognizing Lucas' special object and bringing it to him. My heart melted.
