Lucas can be rather particular. He seems to be especially sensitive to certain sensations. He does not like his drinking water, or any of his food, too cold. He can’t stand having wet hands. He wears sunglasses in the car because the sun is too bright. The seams of his socks must be perfectly aligned. He hates water on his face. You get the idea.
But Lucas loves nose spray.
I have no idea why, but he never seems to mind the feeling of a wet mist shooting up his nostril, usually accompanied by a spatter of droplets all over his face, with liquid running out of his nose afterward. We use a saline spray when the boys have stuffy noses (“tuffy noses” according to the boys) and Lucas can’t wait to give it a whirl. He has been known to ask for it before Noah or I even suggest it. He laughs the whole time and asks for more.
This from the boy who made me warm up a pickle in the microwave before he would eat it.

Ditto me and wet hands--a lifelong "yeck". As for cold food, he does love his trawberry ice cream. Pickles in the microwave? We were in a restaurant in Texarkana that served battered, deep-fried pickles. Man, are they gooooood!
