Birthday Fun!

Well, the boys turned three and there was no shortage of celebrations. The festivities began with the big blow-out at the park. All the twin friends were invited to jump for two hours in honor of the boys. And jump they did…

And just when the parents were thinking their kids were going to be exhausted enough to nap, we reenergized them with cake…

The boys had a GREAT time at their party with so many friends and family around…

Then it was home for the opening of presents. These are some lucky boys who have very generous people in their lives who know how much they love books, games, cars and trucks!

On the morning of their actual birthday, the boys were greeted by their new train table courtesy of Mommy and Daddy. They were almost speechless, mustering only an exclamation of “THIS!” when they saw it. They got to work without delay.

Later that morning, we visited the doctor, where they got a clean bill of health and no shots! As three year olds, there are many new activities at the annual physical – hearing tests, vision screenings, and providing urine samples. The boys were brave and cooperative, and even asked if they could play the “peeing in a cup” game at home.

They have had a blast with all the toys and gifts that they received, but I can’t help but include pictures of my favorite new items – the dress-up hats from Aunt Jen and family.

Since these hats arrived, I have been served many excellent meals prepared by Chef Ethan, rescued numerous times by Firefighter Lucas, and flown all over the U.S. by pilot Ethan.

Thus far, age three has been nothing if not full of energy. The boys are more hyper than I have ever seen them, and rarely fall asleep before 9pm. They are tons of fun, but hard to keep up with. Therefore, the next big transition promises to be the dropping of naps. Stay tuned!
